2020 Auction Season Sales Results

During the September auction at Kopenhagen Fur, where almost 80 customers were present, sales percentages picked up and reached a total sales percentage of 88,5%. This positive development is a reflection of the increased demand of manufacturers who are trying to catch up with the delay in production.

Compared to the 40 million mink skins sold in 2019 through fur auction houses, the amount of skins sold this year amounts to 19.65 million mink skins. Of these, Kopenhagen Fur has sold the majority, with 12.4 million, at an average price of 150 DKK for the Danish skins.

Now, the fur trade looks towards China, where the retail season is set to take off in the coming weeks, giving a better picture of the reality of the market situation.
