Kopenhagen Fur is the undisputed world leader in the fur trade. For many years, the world market price for fur skins has been set here at the Kopenhagen Fur auction house.
Unique grading system
Each and every skin is evaluated according to specific sets of high standards, for example type, sex, size, colour, quality and clarity. However, other factors also apply, such as the length and density of the guard hairs, their silkiness and resilience.
By maintaining these high standards, we ensure that the description of each and every lot of skins in every one of our catalogues is completely accurate.
ISO 9001 cerfication
As the first auction house in the world Kopenhagen Fur's quality management system has been certified according to the DS/EN ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System-requirements. The ISO certificate was handed over to former CEO of Kopenhagen Fur, Torben Nielsen, at the first day of the December auction in 2005.
