Stricter financial compliance rules

New trade legislation in Denmark means that Kopenhagen Fur must comply with tighter anti-money-laundering rules. That will result in some changes in how we accept payments that we would like to make you aware of:

Incoming payments

All payments must come directly from customers who have an approved customer account with Kopenhagen Fur. Otherwise, the payments will be rejected, and will only be returned to the original bank account where the payment came from.

Outgoing payments

  • Accepted but unused payments that were intended for the settlement of purchased skins can only be returned to the original customer.
  • Rejected payments will only be returned to the original bank account where the payment came from.

Closing our cashier’s office

Due to the stricter compliance rules, Kopenhagen Fur has also decided to close its Cashier’s Office, where customers could make cash payments and withdrawals during auctions, effective from 1 January, 2019.

If you need to exchange cash during your stay in Denmark, please change money at Copenhagen Airport, or for example FOREX Bank at Copenhagen Central Station or Nørreport Station.
