Global Fur Logistics shifting focus to better serve customers

Cold Storage to open in Thailand, close in Beijing

Global Fur Logistics, Kopenhagen Fur’s own freight forwarding solution, is updating services for 2019.

To better respond to the requirements of our customers, we have closed our Beijing cold storage warehouse, effective 31/12/2018, and we will open a new cold storage warehouse in Thailand for use during Kopenhagen Fur’s January auction.

Why the changes? Several years ago, Global Fur Logistics responded to challenges experienced by Chinese customers with customs permissions by setting up a cold storage warehouse in Beijing. The idea was to cut red tape while creating efficiencies for our customers by moving skins closer to their import destination.

Through close work with customers whilst running the warehouse in Beijing, customs procedures were simplified and improved in ways making it easier to import fur through warehouse shipping as well as at airports.

At the same time, fur dressing has continued to expand in Southeast Asia. Global Fur Logistics responded to this trend last year by opening a cold storage warehouse in Phnom Penh, Cambodia to make shipping more practical and secure. In 2019, we will remain focused on serving our customers’ needs with the opening of a new cold storage warehouse in Thailand.

Although we will no longer offer cold storage in Beijing, remember that Global Fur Logistics continues to offer fast and reliable airport delivery to the Chinese capital, as well as all other destinations.

We offer attractive rates and flexible solutions to areas such as:  Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Yinchuan, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, the European Union, and other locations.
