EMBA Class ’18: Lifelong Learning With Kopenhagen Fur

EMBA

Each year, Kopenhagen Fur offers select customers the chance to enroll in an Executive MBA programme at China’s elite Tsinghua University. It’s part of Kopenhagen Fur’s commitment to developing the fur trade together, through training and knowledge-sharing.

Around 30 students from China participate in the programme annually, attending 5 modules in Beijing with a final module consisting of a working trip to Denmark.

“I think the course is very intuitive,” said attendee Cedric Lam.

“The professors were really passionate about our business and have shone a light onto our future paths. All the classmates bonded strongly throughout the year and we all enjoyed the course a lot,” he said.

Last month, the 8th graduating EMBA class came to Copenhagen to cap off their programme, receiving a course on specific business practices related to the fur value chain, from quality grading to farming.

Students attended sessions with furriers and visited the farm of local mink breeder Ann-Mona Kulsø Larsen, with time taken out to see the sights of Copenhagen as well. They even participated in a course on cocktail-making.

“Visiting the farm, the breeding methods, facilities, and equipment were all very modern,” said Bai Jongsang. “It really showed the excellent quality of Danish mink.”

The number of graduates from Kopenhagen Fur’s EMBA programme continues to grow, and we now boast an alumni network of over 250 people.
