Street Style Meets Sustainable Fur

Fendi has been a preeminent brand for almost 100 years. So, it’s no small thing that their recent celebration of street art and craftsmanship featured fur out front and centre.

Mixing street style with fur artisanry, the Italian fashion house paid tribute to different aspects of craftsmanship at their headquarters in Rome last night. It was an aesthetic feast for the senses, says Kopenhagen Fur’s VP for Design and Creativity Julie Maria Iversen, who attended the event.

“Fendi is a leading house in the world of haute couture as well as a global voice in sustainable and environmentally-friendly fashion, so their opinion carries real weight in the business,” she said.

The event featured booths on jewelry, watches, accessories, and furniture, with the fur booth being the largest.

“That such an influential industry player gives fur front billing and recognizes that it is a force for increased sustainability in fashion can only be a good thing for the planet,” she said.
