At our auction house, sustainability is not just a buzzword; it is the core of our operations. We are proud to operate a model that respects the environment and maximizes resource efficiency. From the farm to the final product, fur represents a natural, renewable, and fully biodegradable cycle.
A Model of Circularity
Our farming practices are designed to minimize waste and reduce carbon emissions at every stage.
On-Site Processing: All breeding and production processes take place on the farm. This significantly reduces the need for animal transportation, thereby lowering carbon emissions to the absolute minimum.
Upcycling Waste: Our animal feed consists of by-products from the fish and meat processing industries—materials that would otherwise go to waste. We transform these leftovers into high-quality protein for mink.
By-Product Utilization: Nothing is wasted. After harvesting, mink fat and meat are converted into bio-diesel to fuel the industry. Even captured CO2 is utilized in crop production and cement manufacturing.
Biodegradability: A True Return to Earth
In an era dominated by "fast fashion" and environmental concerns, the durability and composition of fur set it apart.
vs. Synthetics: Unlike "fast fashion" items made from harmful materials with 80% of which are non-biodegradable synthetic fibers—fur is entirely natural.
Fully Biodegradable: Our products originate from nature and are fully biodegradable. When a fur garment reaches the end of its long life, it does not sit in a landfill; it decomposes naturally, completing the cycle and returning to the earth without leaving a toxic footprint.
Designed to Last
Sustainability also means longevity. We actively promote the idea that high-quality products should have long lifecycles.
Through collaborations with design institutions like the Kolding School of Design, we support projects such as "Fur and Sustainability – Designed to Last." These initiatives inspire designers and artisans to create timeless pieces that challenge the throwaway culture, ensuring that our furs are cherished for generations, not just seasons.
