Kopenhagen Fur at Saks Potts Latin Gala

For the tenth time, Kopenhagen Fur has collaborated with Saks Potts and yesterday evening the collection was presented at Copenhagen Fashion Week. Catherine Saks and Barbara Potts, the amazing women behind Saks Potts, never disappoint. The girls have conquered the fashion industry with their unique sense of style and ability to attract the right crowd.

This time their collection took inspiration in sensual and powerful qualities that Spanish and Hispanic women possess, specifically Selena – the woman who defined the Latin music scene in the 90s.The collection included two mink styles and the classic Saks Potts Foxy Coat. The furs are as always sourced through Kopenhagen Fur and the techniques are created in close collaboration with the furriers in Kopenhagen Fur Studio.

The oversized, blue mink jacket was dyed using an Italian Brinato bleach, while the voluminous mink coat was printed with a special, red statue inspired print in sharp contrast to the white mink fur. As usual, Saks Potts couldn’t go without another Foxy Coat – this time in a beautiful brown that went perfectly with the rest of the collection.

Celebrating femininity and strong women, Saks Potts had the collection modelled by a lot of recognizable faces. Models like Nadja Bender, Caroline Brasch, Emma Rosenzweig, Veneda Budny and Coco Baudelle flaunted the styles in a manner only models can do.

To honour the legacy of Selena and to create an atmosphere to emphasize the music, the show was held at The Royal Danish Academy of Music’s Concert Hall. Designed by Vilhelm Lauritsen, the Concert Hall was the perfect backdrop for the collection. The warm oak and teak wood dominated the hall and gave the perfect acoustics for the spectacular music performed live by the Danish Chamber Orchestra.

Saks Potts Collection 12 will also be shown during Paris Fashion Week and will be available in stores from February 2020. The whole collection can be seen here: https://copenhagenfashionweek.com/gallery/saks-potts-ss20/
