Kopenhagen Fur and Copenhagen Fashion Week SS19

This year, Kopenhagen Fur participated in Copenhagen Fashion Week SS19 via three brand collaborations: SAKS POTTS, HELIOT EMIL and Brøgger. The brand collaborators’ shows illustrate the versatility of fur in various techniques, designs and styles.

SAKS POTTS’ designs incorporate playful colours and unusual aesthetics. Fur has always been a crucial part of SAKS POTTS’ design, and ever since 2015 the duo has had a collaboration with Kopenhagen Fur. Their Collection 10, Olympia, is inspired by the winter Olympics and includes key pieces, such as down jackets, bathing suits, cat suits together with statement fur pieces, such as a white mink gown and shiny lacquer jackets with fur trimmings.

HELIOT EMIL’s designs can be described as monochromatic, Scandinavian and with a focus on detail. Their SS19 collection is named REFERENTIAL TRANSPARENCY. The collection explores replicability, transparency, form and function, something which is evident in the fabrics used, ranging from semi-transparent white to deep black. From this collection and going forward, HELIOT EMIL has chosen to introduce fur, bringing in Kopenhagen Fur as a partner.

Brøgger is a brand dedicated to creating great design and quality with a twist of commerce. Since SS18, the duo has been working with Kopenhagen Fur to show Swakara and seal in their collections. Their SS19 collection is inspired by two Margrethes: H.M Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Julie's late mother, Margrethe Brøgger, seeking to fuse their individual styles from the 1980’s and 1990’s.
