Royal visit in Tokyo was full of seal skin

Seal fashion was a big part of the Crown Prince Couple of Denmark's visit to the capital of Japan. Saturday, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were welcomed by the design students of Mode Gakuen to a fantastic event on the 50th floor of the school's impressive spiral building.

The students showed their designs to the Crown Prince Couple of Denmark. The styles had a Danish-Greenlandic touch created in cooperation with Kopenhagen Fur. The design students spoke about their work with seal and mink skin to the Danish royal couple, who listened with big interest.

- It was a great event. The design school of Mode Gakuen had truly arranged a fantastic day. It was exiting to hear about the students' work with mink and especially seal, says Kasper Scott Reinbacher, VP Business Development, Kopenhagen Fur.

After the meeting with the design students, the Crown Prince Couple of Denmark attended a fashion show by one of the business' more experienced designers. Great Greenland had invited the royal couple to a fashion show in the beautiful department store Tokyu Honten in the special ward Shibuya, and the collection was designed by the Danish haute couture designer Jesper Høvring in cooperation with Great Greenland.

Kasper Scott Reinbacher is happy about the turnout of visit.

- It was a well-planned and interesting. The Greenlandic delegation with Prime Minister Kim Kielsen and the Embassy of Denmark in Japan had really done a great job making the visit a good experience for the royal couple, he says.
