From 22 to 24 September, the exhibition "Explore Danish Living" took place in Beijing. Kopenhagen Fur attended to show the result of an exciting design-collaboration. This happened alongside Crown Prince Frederik's visit to China under the theme 'Denmark as a knowledge nation'. The purpose of the attendance is to strengthen the conditions between Denmark and China.
Kopenhagen Fur was represented at the exhibition Explore Danish Livingin Beijing to show the innovative and luxurious A/W fur-collection 'Travel on the Table'. The collection consists colourful handbags, scarfs, gloves and jewelry in fur.
The collection is made in close collaboration between Kopenhagen Fur and upcoming Chinese designers. Design-collaborations like these have great value for the designers, but also for Kopenhagen Fur, because it contributes in showing the many qualities of fur to the young, (fashion)conscious consumers in China.
Crown Prince Frederik showed strong interest for Kopenhagen Fur and the design-collaboration with the young Chinese designers, when he visited the exhibition and met with Commercial Director Jesper Lauge Christensen. The Crown Prince was followed by Beijing Vice-Mayor, Wang Ning, and The Danish Ambassador in Beijing, Anders Carsten Damsgaard.
More than 50 design-collaborations each year
Every year, Kopenhagen Fur enters into more than 50 design-collaborations - and during the past 10 years there has been a great focus on Chinese designers; both established and well-known but also upcoming designers. The collaborations with Kopenhagen Fur has a great impact on the development of the designers and it attracts good attention to fur and its many sustainable advantages.
