Focusing on entrepreneurship, craftsmanship, innovation, design, business, ethics and communication the annual Fur Summer School kicks off in August. As a part of Fur Europe's Youth Initiative the Fur Summer School promotes the next generation of professionals and a continued vibrant fur community.

Fur Europe has opened for calls for the annual Fur Summer School. The Fur Summer School is a part of Fur Europe's Youth Initiative programme and is organised in cooperation with the Hellenic Fur Federation. Taking place in historical Greek fur area of Kastoria and Siatista with more than 1,400 years as active fur communities 23 August to 1 September, the Fur Summer School promotes youth participation and involvement in the fur sector.

Bringing in participants from across the fur value chain the educational programme focuses on entrepreneurship, craftsmanship, design, business, ethics and communication.

"Last year's Fur Summer School was a major success, and we consider it an important part of our Youth Initiative programme. Initiatives like the Fur Summer School help us ensure we continue to have a vibrant fur community of professionals, also in the future. It's going to be a lot of fun," says Adam Gono, Head of Fur Europe's Youth Initiative.
