Kopenhagen Fur - Fur combined with Italian leather - designed in Denmark

"You fall in love with a bag because of its design and quality, but you love it forever because of its functionality". These are the words of Camilla Dalager: Creative Director and the woman behind the modern, feminine and sleek designs that embody Danish handbag brand Belsac.

The passion and desire to create bags that exude boldness and pay tribute to the traditional simplicity of Danish design gave birth to the collaboration with the world's number one fur auction house. North Collective is proud to introduce BELSAC X KOPENHAGEN FUR to the Australian luxury market.

When fashion and textile design meets furriers' traditional workmanship, a contrast between soft and raw is created. The collection is an exploration of fur's flexibility and stylistic range combined with the natural beauty of Italian leather.

Established by Camilla Dalager's father Poul Hansen in 1971, Belsac has stayed true to its DNA since she came to the helm: attention to detail and aesthetics, clean lines, stringency and rawness, together with a uniquely progressive attitude that has placed them at the forefront of the Scandinavian accessories niche.

Kopenhagen Fur is the leading provider of luxury fur. The company is owned by Danish fur farmers and is a world-class functioning cooperative which ensures that the quality of Kopenhagen Fur's skins remains amongst the finest in the world.

In 2013, Kopenhagen Fur founded KiCK: an international centre for creativity. Here the industry's most talented furriers work every day to challenge the boundaries of what fur can be used for. Kopenhagen Fur put a great honor in teaching and inspiring students and designers to work with fur. Furthermore KiCK works as a consulting partner in design co-operations with established brands, who wants to incorporate fur in their collections.

Together Belsac and Kopenhagen Fur have created an impressive collection of bags in both mink and Greenlandic seal fur combined with Italian calf leather. They come in an array of eye-catching dyes and styles, and create the compelling desire to touch, hold and carry: feelings created by only the most successful fashion houses.

With the name appropriately inspired by the French words 'Belle Sac' (beautiful bag), fashionistas in Australia are about to be treated to an exciting collaboration with Kopenhagen Fur.
