Price reduction on Brown Males

12 April 2014Auction

Kopenhagen Fur's April auction has reached its fourth day and today 2 million mink skins consisting of Brown and Glow will be sold. Today's sales have started with a price ease compared with the auction in February.

The auction room is packed and there is good activity among the buyers.

- This season has been characterized by low prices due to an unusual warm winter and an overproduction of skins. The sale this Saturday began with brown mink and the declining tendency, which we have been witnessing since the February auction continues. The buyers are selective, and they are buying skins for certain orders. So we are seeing a generally decline in prices on both low quality skins as well as high quality skins compared to our auction in February, says Chief Auctioneer Per Knudsen from Kopenhagen Fur.
