Still waiting. That is the current state of many within the international fur trade. Winter seems to be dragging its feet in both Beijing and New York. In Beijing temperatures reached 15 degrees Celsius last week and they appear to be holding at 10 degrees. This is also the case in North America where they expect temperatures at a very mild 15 degrees next week.

Mild winter

- Naturally weather does play a part, when it comes to selling skins for fur fashion, which means that we are still eagerly anticipating the arrival of snow and colder temperatures in cities such as Beijing, says Torben Nielsen, Director of Kopenhagen Fur.

In Denmark, winter has only just begun, as there have been reports of snow in some parts of the country. However this was only for a brief time, and the Danish Weather Service reports that first days of December will most likely be slightly warmer than one would expect. This is indicated by weather reports that suggest temperatures between 5 and 10 degrees Celsius. With the exception of Moscow that currently has a temperature at around 0 degrees Both Beijing and New York are looking at plus degrees over the next few days.
