Fur fashion is no longer restrained by being just outerwear. During the international fashion weeks we have seen inputs from several creative souls, with designs spanning throughout the entire genre of accessories. These designs once again move the boundaries of how fur can be incorporated in fashion designs.

New York, London, Milan and Paris all showed how the biggest fashion houses have used fur in traditional accessories ranging from hats, handbags, shoes, belts and jewelry.

A pair of oversized fur mittens from both Alexander Wang and Joseph Altuzarra got all the attention at the New York Fashion Week. At the London Fashion Week American fashion designer and film director Tom Ford presented high-heels with a zebra looking furry design.  Animal print was a general theme seen in many collections, and Eudon Choi, Fendi and Mila Schön all showed some very innovative fur headpieces.

Mohawks decorated the Fendi models heads while fur sunglasses blocked the camera blitz from all the photographers. Fendi also presented high-heeled shoes and travel bags in fur, which was a sight for sore eyes. When it comes to the designing of fashionable hats Mugler, John Galliano and Chanel all showed Paris how to include fur in the designs.

In Paris the designers of Mugler, John Galliano and Chanel also showed their skills in the hat genre. Russian designer Valentin Yudashkin also showed his skills in hats and combined his designs with white fur earrings which made one think of snowflakes and a fairytale snow queen.
