The authorities of the Chinese town Liaoyiang have chosen a Danish architect company to design the city's future fur design center. Kopenhagen Fur has been the catalyst for the joint venture and will act as a future creative partner for the design center.
Light rooms and open spaces are the trademark for Scandinavian architecture, and this will also be the characteristics of the future Liaoyang-Kopenhagen Fur Studio which is designed by the Danish architect company Kullegaard Arkitekter.
Kullegaard Arkitekter has helped Kopenhagen Fur on previous occasions, and their merits have now led to a recommendation from the world's largest auction house, and ultimately to a contract with the authorities of the Chinese multi-million city of Liaoying.
- We are very proud. We are moved by the fact that Kopenhagen Fur has recommended us for such a big project. Their recommendation is a proof of great trust, and this means very much to us, says Lars Hørlyck, Partner at Kullegaards Arkitekter.
Liaoyang-Kopenhagen Fur Studio is a part of a future collaboration between Kopenhagen Fur and the city of Liaoyang. The collaboration was confirmed with the signing of a letter of intent at the Kopenhagen Fur headquarters in Glostrup, Denmark.
Bridges between Denmark and China
The future collaboration between Kopenhagen Fur and Liaoyang is based on sharing of knowledge and experience. This means that Kopenhagen Fur can be the catalyst when it comes to future collaborations between Danish companies and Liaoyang.
- Kopenhagen Fur would like to share our success in China with other Danish companies. This time we have recommended Kullegaard Arkitekter, and their project might be the biggest Danish construction within China, says CEO at Kopenhagen Fur, Torben Nielsen.
- I am sure that the Danish society can benefit from our Chinese business partners, and we are happy to help future collaborations on their way.
