On September 15, 2012, "Love Knows No Borders-International Charity Sale for the Lifeline Express Bright Journey" was held in Chaoyang Park. As a socially conscious company, Kopenhagen Fur contributed immensely to the charity event with multiple creative fur accessories, and many others.
Initiated by Ms. Le Aimei, wife of the Chinese Foreign Minister Mr. Yang Jiechi, co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC and Chinese Foundation for Life Express, the Charity Sale attracted thousands from a wide spectrum of various communities in Beijing. Donations from Kopenhagen Fur proved to be the most popular at the Charity Sale.
Lifeline Express is an NGO helping people with cataract all over China. Since 1997 Lifeline Express has taken Chinese surgeons from big city hospitals to perform cataract surgeries. Using China's extensive railway network, the NGO has managed to reach people in need all over the country.
This time all the earnings will be donated to the poor area of Xinxiang city, Henan Province, and will be used to help 1500 cataract patients to have sight restoring surgeries. Part of the donation will be contributed to Quake-hit areas in Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, to help them rebuliding their home as soon as possible.
"True love is invaluable and knows no borders. I really hope this ture love will be conveyed to people in poverty-stricken areas and vulnerable groups in society. Through the Charity Sale, we can strive to build a harmonious world together. " Ms. Le Aimei said.
