Positive framework for the April auction
5 April 2011Auction
The dominance of fur in the coming season's collections forms a positive framework for the April auction.
The sales at Kopenhagen Fur's April auction open on Friday 8 April, and a record-high attendance of more than 600 customers from around the world are expected.
- We will be offering 5 million mink skins, and that is within the planning, says Sales Director Kenneth Loberg.
- There is still a rapid growth and great interest in fur in China, and Russia maintains the trend of positive progress. Our global customers report on continuing progress in Europe and the US, and that is of course very good news. More than ever it proves that fur is very strong in the international fashion plate which was also very apparent in the major fashion weeks earlier this year, Kenneth Loberg says.
- With more than 600 customers visiting this auction we will have a strong attendance, and with a clearance percentage of 96 of the February sale, which is 10 per cent better than at the same time last year, the expectations for the auction are great, Kenneth says.
