21 June 2010 - Top lot buyer wants to open shops

The June auction's second top lot was bought for 600 DKK ( 100 USD) per skin by Chinese manufacturer Zhang Yong Liang, on Monday morning.

Zhang Yong Liang bought the June auction's female toplotThe Brown Velvet female skins will be used for a fur coat which Zhang Yong Liang will exhibit at his factory, which is located near Shanghai.

Zhang Yong Liang did not plan to buy the top lot. Actually, it is the first time in ten years he has participated in an auction at Kopenhagen Fur.

- The market for mink skins and mink coats has grown explosively in China during recent years, so that is why I have returned to Kopenhagen Fur after ten years to buy mink skins, Zhang Yong Liang says.

The big growth in the fur industry has also made Zhang Yong Liang invest. He is going to open three fur shops in different locations in China next year, so he needs a lot of mink skins and is happy to buy them at Kopenhagen Fur.

- The auction here is very professional, and the sorting system is really good. Being here gives me an idea of where the fur market is going, so that is nice, Zhang Yong Liang says.

Last Thursday, Kam Lam of K C Enterprises bought the auction's male toplot consisting of White Velvet males, for 780 DKK (130 USD) per skin.
