10 March 2011Fashion & Lifestyle
During the Milan Fur Fair, MIFUR, from 6 to 9 March an international design competition for innovative fur designers took place.
The International Fur Trade Federation (IFTF) arranged the REMIX design competition for the eighth time. All participating designers are winners of their national design competition, resulting in an outstanding level of innovative design. Kopenhagen Fur was represented by the three Danish finalists in the clothing category of last year's Golden Fur Pin.
Sarah Lam Woon Hei from Hong Kong, won the Remix award for her mink coat made of 38 different garments.
The REMIX competition was introduced in 2003 by IFTF in collaboration with MIFUR. During the past eight years, more than 360 talented fur designers from 21 countries have participated in this annual event. REMIX aims to encourage, inspire and support up-and-coming designers as they develop and explore fur as a material, as well as to give them an opportunity to showcase their innovative designs to an international audience.
